What results do you want to see in your life? I once heard that if you don’t have the circumstances you want, you have to create it. To create the best opportunity for yourself, you will have to acknowledge that taking responsibility for yourself will play a great role in advancing. And don’t worry, being the CEO of your future is not taking God/The Creator out of the picture, but it is being responsible for your own growth. Growing can be time consuming, challenging and will take a lot of effort. So decide now! The first thing you have to know is that just because your life doesn’t look the way you want it to doesn’t mean God has left you to where you have to search for him. Remember, the best way to predict the future is to create it. It is time to take your pen and paper out, TIME TO START CREATING!
You have a choice. You are the CEO. Therefore, you will have to Cultivate your mind to the best of your ability. You are in charge of your growth, so you will have to Evaluate your overall daily activities to see what areas you may have to correct. Sometimes you have to take two steps forward and one backward. That is course correction. Then, you will have to be Open-minded to receive new information as you work towards a better you. As the CEO of you there is no way that you will be able to gain all the knowledge on your own, so you have to be open to new input. Being the CEO of your life is being proactive rather than reactive. This is where you have to have a vision for your future and are able to set goals and will be able to allocate your resources. I know the original meaning of CEO is Chief Executive Officer, but the term CEO does not only go for the self-employed or the head of a corporation, this term has become very essential for all of us. So, in order to make way in today’s growing and changing world you want to cultivate your mind, evaluate you overall daily activities and be open-minded.
The mindset of finding security in your job has become obsolete as more and more people are seeking to improve on their own ability in order to prepare themselves to take on the changes that occur daily. We have to take charge of our own growth, and what other way to do so than to become our own CEO. I want to say this, although we are not in charge or in control of everything that happens in life, there are some things that we can control, such as:
- How we spend our free time
- How we control our attitude
- How we react to each situation
- The thoughts we dwell on
- How we respond to people and difficult times
- Who we communicate with
- How we communicate with each other
- How we play the cards that we are dealt
Therefore, even if you are not self-employed, you are not too far from it. Everybody has to take full responsibility for their growth and advancement in life. You are your own Chief Executive Officer.
