Giving Back – See How You Can Make A Difference

Coming to a store near you

—-NEED YOUR SUPPORT—-

If we can make a difference in someone’s life we should.

My book is complete. EXCITED, GRATEFUL and even more GRATEFUL! For this next step on my journey I am going to need your HELP. I want to title the post 10,000 copies because it is my intention to sell 10,000 copies before July of 2015.

Please support me in sponsoring two students.

I grew up with a lot of my basic needs NOT met but it was because of the help of others I was able to past the worst to become the person I am today.

SOMEONE HELPED ME.

I said to myself after completing the book  I am going to go on a campaign to raise enough money to help two students from my home country, Jamaica, with FULL SCHOLARSHIP to attend college/university in the states.

The journey I am about to embark upon (Giving back) was what gave me the opportunity to realize that more was possible. In fact, I believe that on this journey possibilities are endless.

I came on a track and field scholarship back in 2006 and my perspective on life was enriched and enhanced by being exposed to a variety of options that became available to me.

I WANT TO GIVE THAT TO SOMEONE ELSE!

The idea of helping two students turn out to be better than I expected because now I have a direct link with a college as I am now a lecturer at the Atlanta Metropolitan State College.

Someone granted me an opportunity.

Things seems to fall in place when you put them on paper and I believe this is my opportunity to help someone else with the amazing experience I was fortunate to receive from attending college in the states.

I attended Lincoln University in Jefferson City Missouri. I believe in what is possible and to help two students to realize the possibility of what they can accomplish, to me that is PRICELESS.

LET’S PUT A SMILE ON SOMEONE’S FACE.

Over the next few days I will be making some changes to the web/blog as I move forward with this campaign.

I LOVE YOU ALL and I WILL BE KEEPING YOU ALL POSTED ON MY PROGRESS.

IT IS SAID, TO WHOM MUCH IS GIVEN, MUCH IS EXPECTED. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN more than much.

I WILL BE POSTING THE two students “WHY YOU WANT TO STUDY ABROAD LETTER” ON MY WEB/BLOG.

It is possible to go beyond limitations. It may not be easy, but it is possible.

Thank you for your support!

If you like what was shared and think someone else would find it beneficial: Please share on you Facebook/Google+/Twitter. Also, you can Follow me on Facebook and Twitter.

THE BEST IS STILL WITHIN YOU!

  1. What a wonderful gesture on your part Richard! Every young person should have the opportunity to acquire a good education, the opportunity to realize their dreams, their life’s passion and destiny. Such a selfless act on your part is a testament to who you are and the empowered spirit that fuels your pursuits on behalf of others.

    • Thanks Don. This is something that I really wanted to do. It has motivated me to complete the book for one and I have already received some of the total amount in pledge from a donor (Can’t mention name as yet) after I have shared it.

As I reflected each day, I know that the opportunity I have received is to help someone else to also be liberated.

Don, I really appreciate the support you have been giving me and GREAT things will be coming your way my friend.

      Have a bless one.

  2. Reblogged this on Don MacIver; Poetry & Verse and commented:
Richard A. Harris shares how he plans to help youth receive their education with yet another example of his passion for helping, inspiring and supporting others in the pursuit of their goals, their dreams. Follow the inspired words of Richard Cross. You’ll be amazed at what benefits you will take away from his perspective and vision.
