Don’t let a setback stop you. Use it to push you.
The road to success is not always easy, on the way you will face many challenges that will discourage you. However, nothing comes easy, success always comes with hard work consistence, perseverance and humility. So what do you do when you have a setback when in pursuit of your goal?
“A life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable but more useful than a life spent in doing nothing.” George Bernard Shaw
- Accept the set back.
On your road to success, you will face obstacles every now and then but that is part of achieving any goal that is worth achieving- if it is too easy then it is not a goal that is worth fighting for. Instead of seeing a setback as an obstacle, accept it. When you accept, you will easily find a solution on how to overcome the obstacle.
“How many people are completely successful in every department of life? Not one. The most successful people are the ones who learn from their mistakes and turn their failures into opportunities.” Zig Ziglar
- Learn from it.
No one is wins all the time. All of us will fail at some point in life. However, don’t let the failure to stop from pursuing your goals. All you need to do is get up and dust yourself off. When you fail it is very important to ask yourself why you failed, what stopped you, what obstacle got in your way and what can you do to ensure that it does not happen again.
“Most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure.” -Napoleon Hill
IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO BEYOND LIMITATIONS. IT MAY NOT BE EASY, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.

THE BEST IS STILL WITHIN YOU
Richard, my entire career and personal life have been challenged by obstacles that were seemingly too difficult to overcome, especially when they occurred in very close proximity to the other. I discovered long ago that I had a responsibility, to myself and to others in my professional and personal life, to stay focused on dealing with each issue as it arose unwaveringly. The issues got resolved and those issues actually began to play a role in reinforcing my own purpose and journey.
Setbacks are temporary roadblocks to achieving success. We learn to navigate around those roadblocks and continue to move forward on our chosen path.
Indeed Don, sometimes we are challenged to the point we have to really wonder if it’s a spell but I come to learn that it is because we are strong enough to go the extra mile and or navigate around the roadblock. Our why really help us to keep pressing forward. Enjoy reading your thoughts as always Don!
