90 Day Challenge: Day 49 – Don’t Be A Crab In A Bucket

I come to realize that there are two (2) easy ways to help someone to get more out of life. However, it is much easier to do when the person who wants the help begins to make an effort to do so. The two (2) ways I am talking about is where you either in a position to pull the person up or you push the person up. One you’ll have to be on top to do so and the other you’ll have to be on the same level or below to push the person up. Both are healthy practices because when you are liberated it also helps liberate someone else.

Don’t allow those who are scared of your progress to stop you.

Crab in a bucket mentality is a non-constructive way of being where no formidable progress will ever take place.  In fact, crab in a bucket mentality creates a culture of conformity and mediocrity. It’s time to break free!

Look at it this way, some of the things we now enjoy was because someone has broken free from the bucket (Mediocre life or Disadvantage background) to create tangible things that eventually brought meaning to our lives.

There is no advantage, no progress with the crab mentality. You cannot pull someone back without you staying back yourself. For you to have meaningful progress others will have to make progress too. As a result, our environment will flourish  more.

To you now, you may not be in a bucket but you may experience envy, jealousy or criticism in a discouraging form, don’t let them stop you.

You’ll only limit your own progress by being envious of the next person. You have in you too, greatness but if you keep comparing yourself to others you are only blinding yourself to your own greatness.

Pull if you are able to. Push if that’s what you can do. Either way more will eventually make progress.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO BEYOND LIMITATIONS. IT MAY NOT BE EASY, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.
