90 Day Challenge: Day 64 – Identify Your Most Important Activities

How we spend our day and on what can improve our life immensely. On the other hand, it may also make us feel worthless if the day finishes without completing something meaningful. We don’t have to do everything all at once because that would be almost impossible but if we choose those things that are important to our growth and well-being our life will indefinitely improve.

To avoid daily distractions is to know exactly what is important to you and then place your focus there.

What will your daily activities be based on? Will it be on things that make you happy, your spiritual belief, your health, the benefit of your family or your fitness? Whatever you decide your activities to be they should help with improving some areas of your life.

Managing your time will be based on how deliberate you are about the things you focus on.

What happens when you identify the activities that make your life more fulfilled? Your time and energy will be spent on those things that matter most  to you and will in turn limit your distractions. Not only that, you’ll be able to manage your time better. When you are able to manage your time better, you’ll be more productive.

We fall behind when we procrastinate and we procrastinate because we lack focus. We lack focus because we didn’t identify what is really important to us.

Touch Point: When you identify the activities that are important to you, you’ll be more focused, you’ll limit the distractions, you’ll manage your time better, you’ll avoid overextending yourself and you’ll be less likely to procrastinate.

Don’t allow that lack of focus to rob you of what is possible so, limit the distractions by knowing exactly what activities you’ll be engaging in daily.

Common Roadblocks That Come In The Way Of Your Goals

The fear of failure is one of the worst fears for you to allow taking over your mind.

Though it is so blatantly obvious that if you stay true to a goal for long, you will ultimately achieve it, few people have the tenacity to chase their goals in the face of these most common and daunting roadblocks. If you care enough to follow the lives of some of the most successful people in the history of mankind across of all fields, there is a definite pattern, and it goes beyond them innately gifted and fortunate. They are all consistent in dealing with the roadblocks that come in the way of their goals, and go showing up and getting about their task. They have fought distraction, procrastination, imperfection and much more to reach the echelons of their glory.

Do what Needs to Be Done Today

Procrastination can bog you down like few other things, can distract you from your long term objectives. You’re not just prolonging the realization of your goals but also slowly but surely killing the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to chase the goals.

You are less likely to be as excited about your goals if you are constantly putting things off, you are not getting the short term results that are going to effectively propel you towards your long term goals. This non-fulfillment of immediate goals means in the long haul you won’t get the desired results, and will be stuck for sufficient motivation, while completely losing track along the way. If you’re goal oriented, you will never put things off for later, and be pumped up about achieving step by results quickly and efficiently.

Bad Habits can be Huge Goal Spoilers

Even a seemingly harmless bad habit of being ineffective at time management or being too distracted easily can divorce you from your goals. Time management junkies achieve much more in terms of tasks, and results than the flaky who are constantly distracted. Focus and sticking to tasks at hand that are priority can minimize the tendency to drain energy on wasteful things and channelize it correctly.

I come to understand that roadblocks can be used as building blocks.
