7 WAYS TO EMPOWER OUR YOUTH

“Good habits formed at youth make all the difference.” – Aristotle

We have a job to do. However, we sometimes like to count ourselves out when we are not in what some people think is a position of influence. Don’t allow the perception of what they think to deter you. Besides, our duty is to empower our youth to succeed. The truth is, you too can empower our youth no matter what position you hold. Remember, they are our future.

Someone is counting on you so if you know the way it’s time you start showing the way.

I don’t know about you, but I know what a little empowerment, recognition, and responsibility can do. If you are looking forward to a better future, let‘s start empowering those who will later become leaders of the future. Remember, have to start from where the leaders of today stop.

Let’s help our youth to remain hopeful, help them to see beyond their struggles and believe in the possibility that still exist.

Empowerment is to empower others to take charge of their lives.

To empower our youth is important and it’s important that we start molding the future leaders now. Here we go:

  1. Equip them with the necessary information/resources so they too can be change agents.
  2. Make them a part of the initiatives that enhance personal development and growth.
  3. Provide them with an adequate amount of opportunity so they can utilize their natural God given ability.
  4. Open to their concerns because a listening ear can help with building someone confidence.
  5. Work alongside them, so they know that they are not alone on their journey.
  6. Encourage them to do what they are passionate about because when you do what you love, you naturally feel empowered.
  7. Recognize their effort and don’t take what they for granted. By doing so, you’ll make them feel and know that wheat they are doing matter.

We can help them to make a difference while making a difference ourselves, but most importantly, let’s remind them that “no one can make them feel inferior without their consent.” We have a job to do and let’s do it!

We may not reach them all, but we can empower one youth at a time.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO BEYOND LIMITATIONS. IT MAY NOT BE EASY, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.

We don’t start out on a journey to quit, but things always happen when we are in pursuit of our dream and even the strongest, most motivated is tested. I hope I catch you the right time, just in time to remind you that the best is yet to come and not to make quitting your option.

Doubt may creep in on the journey but to assure you, you can make it happen and therefore, I want to share with you some reasons why not to quit. You have heard it, may have said it, “Winners never quit and quitters never win“, and I know you are thinking about winning.  In fact, it is always too early to count yourself out, because you can still win!

  1. “When you feel like quitting, think about why you started in the first place.” –Unknown
  2. “Most of the important things in the world have been accomplished by people who have kept on trying when there seemed to be no hope at all.”Dale Carnegie
  3. “I am not telling you that it will be easy, I am telling you that it is going to be worth it.” –Unknown
  4. “Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires courage.”Ralph Waldo Emerson
  5. “The moment when you’re about to quit is the moment right before the miracle happens. Don’t give up.” –Unknown
  6. “Don’t let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.”Earl Nightingale
  7. “Remember that guy that gave up? Well, neither does anybody else.” –Unknown
  8. “Small minds can’t comprehend big spirits. To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, hated and misunderstood. Stay strong.” –Unknown
  9. “Be strong, things will get better. It might be stormy now, but rain doesn’t last forever.” –Unknown
  10. “Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never quit.” –Unknown
  11. You may be hurting, frustrated or discouraged, hold on because that breakthrough you desire could be closer than you think.

Not in all cases, the WINNER is the best, but the person who DECIDE to get up one more time so they could make their dream come true, and that same power is within you.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO BEYOND LIMITATIONS. IT MAY NOT BE EASY, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.
