90 Day Challenge: Day 40 – Stop Defining Yourself By Past Failures

What is so great about you having a failure experience is that you have tried. If you have tried once, you can try again.

It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default. –J. K. Rowling

Your failures are not you, but it has been said, you are what you think you are. It was an experience and that experience can change if you can change the way you think about it. It may take some time, but it can change. So, if the experience was something that you didn’t like why use it to define who you are. STOP. THINK.

There were many before you and me who had experiences that they didn’t like. Did they use their failures (unpleasant experiences) to define who they are capable of becoming? Apparently they did not. Well, I want to think so. They saw themselves as more not less and you should adopt the same principle of seeing yourself as the person you can become. Remember, you are what you think you are and you can be a SUCCESS but you’ll never be by defining yourself by past failures. Do like the many that looked for the opportunity in the failure. As a matter a fact, if you learn something from the failure it wasn’t really a failure. It became a stepping stone.

You haven’t seen your best yet. However, it is up to you on what you are going to think about.

You’ll never become your best by living in the past. If you are constantly in the past you’ll miss the opportunities that are in the present.

Learn from your past failure don’t live there.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO GO BEYOND LIMITATIONS. IT MAY NOT BE EASY, BUT IT IS POSSIBLE.

Question 12: How Do You Embody What You Want To Demonstrate?

EmbodiedQuestion 12. How do you embody what you want to demonstrate?

To answer this question I will start by defining the two key words. Starting with EMBODY. Embody, according to the Webster New-World Dictionary, means to bring together into an organized whole. The next key word is DEMONSTRATE. Demonstrate, according to the Webster New-World Dictionary, means to explain by using examples.

“To embody a character, you have to lose all judgment about them.” Clemence Poesy

To embody what we want to demonstrate we have to bring together in to an organized whole by setting examples. Getting the results I wanted came more readily after I started to embody what I had been learning. For example, I wanted to become a speaker and I read what to do and was also told what to do, but nothing changed until I embodied, or began to act on, what I received through reading and mentoring. I started to take action to speak wherever I could so I could get over the fear of speaking in public. and that was when the fear began to disappear. I say that to say, whatever you want to embody, be it a healthier lifestyle or making more money, you will have to lose all judgment about that. We have to become aware of what we are thinking or that which we hold dearly to. Remember what Nelson Mandela said after he was leaving prison, “As I walked out the door towards the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.” Nelson Mandela knew that to embody peace, love and kindness he could not have a conflicting mind; it was one or the other. He chose peace, kindness and love and that was how he got to demonstrate what he had embodied.

We demonstrate to the world, what we embody. A lot of things that I want to demonstrate, I still haven’t embodied as yet, but some things take a longer process to accomplish, and that’s fine. The thing is, we are not going to find any excuses, but we must constantly work toward making what we want a part of our consciousness.

In fact, a great way to make what you want to come whole can be done through prayer. Through prayer you make that which you want become embedded in your consciousness. So, I implore upon on you not to be the one who hold yourself back.
