7 Characteristic That Should Be Apart Of Your Portfolio

Portfolio

Character traits can be learned.

Are you Passionate about what you do? Are you Open to learn more? Are you accepting full Responsibility for the actions you are taking in life? Are you Thankful for what you currently have in your life? Are you Focused on what you want to get out of life? Are you Optimistic in your approach for what you want in life? Are you Loving yourself completely? Are you using your Imagination to your advantage? Are you Observant, not only others but yourself as well?

“Weakness of attitude becomes weakness of character.” Albert Einstein

The above nine questions are important and you need to be present when asking them and more so when answering them. I know you don’t only want to make progress but also want to have your dream come true. In fact, just like others who have been an inspiration to you, you want to be an inspiration to others. These characteristic should be a part of your portfolio:

  • Being Diligent
  • Being Flexible
  • Being an Initiator
  • Having a Clear Vision
  • Being Resilient
  • Believing in Yourself
  • Having Self-Discipline

Your actions should be purposely carried out. It may seem weird to those looking in, but don’t let what they say distract you. You have a purpose then you must stay committed, and by that you must devote yourself to that which you are passionate about. By all means, be resilient with your pursuit. Remember, those character traits can be developed.

“You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats, so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, how you can still come out of it.”
― Maya Angelou

“Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” Booker T. Washington

P. On Purpose

Stay On Purpose!Being on purpose is not a guarantee that you will have the success you would like to enjoy. Although you are on purpose, there are things you will have to do to make the thing you want become a reality. I always heard this saying when I was a child growing up, “Even if you are on track, if you only stay there on track you will get run over by the train.” Then I didn’t know what that meant, but as I got older and gained clarity on what I wanted to do with my life I realized that I have to get fully engaged with what I want to accomplish. Life will pass you by if you don’t P. On Purpose! So, what does it mean to P. On Purpose? Well, to advance from where you are today to where you want to go these five P’s will play a great roll in your advancement. You want to be Passionate! You have to Practice! You have to be Persistent! You have to have Patience! You have to Plan!

Being passionate is the fuel that will drive you towards achieving your desired goal. If you are not passionate about the thing you want, when facing a setback you might just quit. When you are passionate a hiccup doesn’t stand a chance because you become hiccup-proof! Stay Passionate!

Staying sharp is very important. To get better in any endeavor you have to practice constantly. It is through practicing that you will be prepared, and when you are prepared, you will be ready to deliver at a moments notice. Practice To Be Ready and You Will Stay Ready!

You have the baton in your hand, it is time to advance. You cannot stop now, you are depending on you! On this journey that we call life you are going to need to be intoxicated with the wine of persistence, because this is not a trial run. So, if the baton is dropped you have to pick it up and continue running. Your persistent effort is what will power you to the top of your game. Persistence Produces Profits!

Patience is a vital asset to have on the journey of life. Be patient with the goal you are aspiring for, but most of all be patient with yourself. Don’t be the one to give in when all it would have taken was a little more patience and you would have achieved your desired success. Patience is a virtue!

Success in not an overnight thing and being on purpose requires that you plan for the result you want. Planning Provides You With a Road Map to Success!

Remember to P on Purpose! Stay passionate, continue to practice, be persistent, be patient, and plan your way to success!
