YOU DON’T NEED TO TAKE A BREAK FROM BEING POSITIVE

My outlook on life matters!

As a child, I was told that an idle mind is the devils workshop. You too may have heard the same thing, and yes when we drift away from being positive we become susceptible to thoughts that may take us off the things we want to accomplish. Knowing that, why would you want to leave your mind idle?

To put it differently, and as Dr. Willie Jolley said, “Life is a fight for territory. When you stop fighting for what you want, what you don’t want start taking over.” That is, when you stop thinking positively about yourself or the things you desire to accomplish, you in turn leave your mind vacant for negativity to start taking root in your precious, mind.

“Don’t leave your mind vacant fill it with positive thoughts.” –Unknown

We may not be able to do everything, but sometimes we choose not to do what we want to do because it doesn’t come easy. With that type of mindset, we in turn leave room for unproductive thoughts to become the norm.

“You cannot live a positive life with a negative mind.” –Unknown

By doing so, what ends up happening is that our minds get occupied by things that only take us further down on a path that is totally opposite to where we want to go. And you know what; sometimes we don’t even recognize that a downward spiral is taking place until a lot of damages are already done. They have said, “Positive thinking cannot give you everything, but it can give you a lot more than what negative thinking will ever give you.” We may not be able to be positive 24/7, but we don’t have to allow negativity to become a habit.

You are admired for your positive outlook on life. Don’t mine who doesn’t say it!

THINK ABOUT SUCCESS

We normally go in the direction of what we are constantly thinking about.

You are not going to be success thinking about failure. You are not going to be victorious thinking that you are a victim. You are not going to tap into your greatest potential thinking that you are not enough. Therefore, it is imperative that you first are convinced of the possibility of being a success. Moreover, it would be wise to make that habit of thinking become a part of your consciousness. For that habit to become a part of your consciousness being that you were conditioned to think otherwise, it is best that you do it continuously.

“I am the greatest; I said that even before I knew I was.”  –Muhammad Ali

Your external environment may appear to lack opportunity but if you can become conscious of possibility and think about what you desire and not what you lack. It is that shift in consciousness will help to shape your reality.

“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” –Viktor Frankl

The more I think about the things that I desire, the more motivated I become. In other words, if I am aware of the benefit of thinking about what I desire and that thinking generate a feel good feeling within me I am going to do more of it. Would you stop the thinking the things that empower you? I don’t think so!

If you can change your mind, you can change your life.

Therefore, if the thought of what’s possible empowers you, keep on thinking those thoughts. It cannot be stressed enough, but it is what we think about most we are going to believe. You are going to become attracted to the things you think about most.

What you think of yourself is more important than what people think of you.
